Last Saturday I traveled from Barnsley South Yorkshire , to visit your convention what for me has now become an annual pilgrimage . In my opinion , for a whole host of reasons your show is head and shoulders above any other model boat show . This impression was enhanced even further when a gentleman by the name of Colin Vass , the builder of HMS Warspite , took all the time in the world to unreservedly explain to both to me , a real numpty , and also a fellow visitor , the methods of manufacture of his most excellent model . Such an attitude is rare to find these days , and his patient response to my interminate questions really has inspired me to complete my own modest project , and to aim towards his standards .
Once again thank you to all involved in organsing and attending the show to produce a memorable day out.

Hello Jean,
I greatly enjoyed my visit to the Model Boat Convention on Sunday and it was delightful to meet you and Arthur.
As you know, I am a regular attender at the Convention but this year was particularly enjoyable for me as it was enhanced by meeting not only you and Arthur but also Paul Freshney (I take 'Model Boats' every month) and an opportunity to team up with two friends, Nick Jedynakiewicz and Dickie Baum.
The only downside to the visit was that everyone's highly enjoyable company meant that I saw a little less than usual of the exhibits!
You and your committee colleagues must put in a very considerable amount of time and energy into organizing what is now a large scale event and although I suspect that the vast majority of the attendees do not express their thanks to you and the other organizers directly it is quite clear that the event gives a great deal of pleasure and conviviality to a large number of people.
I expect that you are now putting arrangements in place for 2016 and you can be assured that it would take something fairly significant to prevent my attendance.
I wish you, and the Convention, continuing success and I look forward to our paths crossing again.
